I’ve just finished my elective week- I chose millinery and I loved it !!

It was such a handmade process that was really difficult but so fulfilling once you had a hat in front of you that you designed and made from scratch.
I found the blocking the most difficult as steaming the felt and stretching it into the shape you chose is really hard- I think its one of those things you have to persevere on and then you find you are getting somewhere !
My hat looks quite 1940s - we had to do a mood board, design board and sketch book of research to go with it which I’m just finishing off.
I had such a good week and considering taking it again for next years elective!
